Dark Matter

$75.00Price

Dark matter is an interstellar phenomenon that does not respond to electromagnetic radiation. Although dark matter cannot be seen with the naked eye, we know that galaxies would behave completely different if this invisible force were not present.

"Dark Matter" is a mysterious and evocative composition that captures the sense of wonder and intrigue surrounding the concept of dark matter. It begins with a slow and eerie introduction, using dissonant and unexpected harmonies to create a sense of unease and uncertainty.  The concept of dark matter is illustrated in this piece by the use of the uncommon Locrian mode, which avoids the closure that is reached in a piece with a major or minor mode. Dark matter is a concept that is not fully understood by astronomists, and this is represented in the tonal ambiguity of "Dark Matter".

As the piece progresses, the melody becomes more elaborate and ornate, evoking the sense of awe and reverence that comes with contemplating the vast and unknown.

The climax of the piece features what might be called a light at the end of the tunnel, changing the piece from the Locrian mode to the major mode for a brief period of time. This represents the feeling of fascination and wonder in the concept of dark matter. The music gradually subsides, leaving the listener with a sense of curiosity and intrigue

.

Overall, "Dark Matter" is a thought-provoking and intellectually stimulating composition that captures the sense of wonder and mystery surrounding the concept of dark matter. It is a tribute to the vastness and complexity of the universe, and the many mysteries that remain to be discovered.
