Dancing Through A Dream

Dancing Through A Dream

$15.00Price

Inspired by the Romantic-era technique of planing, "Dancing Through A Dream" takes the listener on a journey through dreams. It begins with a slow and shimmering introduction, featuring soft chords and a sense of spaciousness. The entrancing beginning melody paints the picture of someone dancing through the dream, not knowing how they got there nor why they are dancing in the first place.

The piece increases in intensity until someone is "murdered" in the dream, signified by the sudden disappearance of the piano and fighting between the strings using extended techniques. The previously murdered party returns without any explanation, reminding the listener of dreams that don't seem to make sense.

The explosive ending of the piece is a frenzied dance, that sounds more like a heated conversation, and ends in the dream ending abruptly like waking up after a nightmare.

Overall, "Dancing Through a Dream" is a captivating and otherworldly composition that captures the magic and mystery of the dream world. It is a tribute to the power of imagination and the many wonders that it can bring.
